WWE superstar Sheamus, who once played as a goalkeeper, has followed Liverpool since he was schoolboy in Ireland. During a visit to Anfield in 2014, the three-time world champion said: "Because of the Irish contingent of Aldridge, Staunton, Whelan and Houghton and all – Mark Lawrenson was there as well in the past – I picked Liverpool." He added that he thought Reds defender Martin Skrtel would make a good wrestler.
