The show opened with Brock Lesnar, accompanied to the ring by Paul Heyman. Heyman recapped last week’s encounter with Samoa Joe, in which he was choked out, and promised he was unleashing the beast this week. After Heyman ran down Joe, the No. 1 contender came out and headed to the ring, where he stared down Lesnar.
1. Elias Samson defeated Dean Ambrose. Before the match, Elias Samson performed a song in the middle of the ring about how much he didn’t like Lafayette, Louisiana, nor did he like Dean Ambrose. The Miz came down to ringside, distracting Ambrose, allowing Samson to hit a swinging neckbreaker for the victory.
— Goldust cut another promo about how he didn’t like R-Truth anymore.
— Backstage, Kurt Angle confronted the Miz about getting involved in Dean Ambrose’s match. The Miz blamed the whole thing on Angle, saying he was too busy with his personal problems to worry about Ambrose interfering in his celebration last week. Angle said that if Miz has a problem with Ambrose to do something about it himself.

– It was revealed that Roman Reigns will reveal what his SummerSlam plans are next week on Raw.
— Bray Wyatt came to the ring and said that he will continue to punish Seth Rollins for blaspheming his name, saying if you take his name in vain, you will fall. Rollins, dressed in street clothes, interrupted him, calling him a coward and challenging him to a fight. Wyatt then teleported from the ring to backstage.
— Backstage, Charly Caruso caught up with the Hardy Boyz, who said they would reclaim the Raw Tag Team Titles from Sheamus and Cesaro later tonight.
— A vignette for John Cena’s return aired, proclaiming he would return to Smackdown Live on July 4 as previously announced but that he would be returning as a free agent.
3. Apollo Crews defeated Kalisto. Crews was accompanied by TItus O’Neil, who also got Akira Tozawa a front-row seat to see the Titus Brand in action. Crews won with a spinning sitout powerbomb. After the match, O’Neil brought Tozawa in the ring for a post-victory selfie.
— Backstage, the Miz approached Heath Slater and asked him to join his entourage. Slater said he would join him if he would get a shot at the Intercontinental Championship. Rhyno said Slater already had a partner, and that the two of them would face Miz and a partner of his choosing later in the evening.
— Alexa Bliss came to the ring and reminded the crowd she defeated both Bayley and Nia Jax last week. Jax interrupted her and was upset about last week. Bliss reminded her that Mickie James and Dana Brooke were the reasons she was disqualified last week, which made James and Brooke interrupt them. They were then interrupted by a returning Emma, who said she wanted a title shot. Sasha Banks then interrupted all five women, sidling up to Bliss before sucker-punching her. All six women began to brawl with one another, which led to…
4. Sasha Banks, Mickie James and Dana Brooke defeated Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax and Emma. Emma attempted to make a tag to Bliss, who then left the apron and abandoned her. She then got caught by Banks in the Banks Statement and tapped out.
— A pre-taped interview between Corey Graves and Bayley aired. In it, she said she was here to put smiles on people’s faces, not put bruises on people’s backs. She mentioned that her goals are to be the best and recapture the Raw Women’s Championship in time for WrestleMania 34 next April. She then gave Corey Graves a hug.
5. Heath Slater and Rhyno defeated the Miz and a bear. The Miz’s partner was revealed to be a person in a bear costume that came down to the ring on a tricycle. Eventually, Miz jumped the bear and unmasked him to reveal another random guy. Dean Ambrose in a bear suit then switched places with the random guy and hit Heath Slater with Dirty Deeds. Ambrose then sent Miz into Maryse, who tumbled off the apron and injured herself. He then hit the Miz with Dirty Deeds and pulled Slater on top of Miz for the pinfall victory.
6. Neville vs. Rich Swann was a no-contest. Neville attacked Rich Swann before the match, which never officially started. Afterward, Neville threatened Akira Tozawa and Titus O’Neil.
— Backstage, Charly Caruso interviewed Sheamus and Cesaro. The pair said they would inspire the Hardy Boyz to write a new book called Exist To Retire.
7. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson defeated Enzo Amore and Big Cass. Before the match, Big Cass was jumped yet again. The Revival was seen lurking in the background. During the match, Cass was frequently unable to steady himself, allowing Gallows and Anderson to take advantage of Amore and hit the Magic Killer for the win. The Big Show came down to make the save, angering Cass.

— In a backstage interview, Samoa Joe said Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman were playing right into his strategy and that he would put Lesnar to sleep and win the Universal Championship.
